The protectiveness and unamused attitude towards David is brilliant from Tori
Charlie's parents react perfectly for the situation, including his dad giving a small nod to encourage charlie to go check on nick
Stephane is shocked, a bit rude and displeased with what Nick has to say
David is the perfect antagonist and his expression when nick turns to him is brilliant
And Sarah's reactions to things like "rugby is a very attractive sport to woman" and "I like who I am and I like my life" are flawless and then her defending her children feels so right

Goes to show how real this story is and how important. Some people look to have wonderful amazing lives filled with success and joy. We see how that image is smashed when we realize Nick's dad is absent and uncaring. His brother is a cruel and self centered jerk. Yet, Nick is a decent, caring, sweet young man who just wants the love and attention from a parent. A valuable lesson. And of course Charlie is there to support and console him in a dark moment. So absolutely wonderful a series.

It’s so interesting when you think of how Nick came out to his mum. The worry was there and he took his time telling her because of the relationship they have. With his dad it was now you know so you can not be in touch for however long again.
