Thanks! I stopped using Vaseline Intensive Care lotion all over my body and my Fibromyalgia got A LOT better! My rheumatologist was shocked, which is disappointing bec it never occurred to him that crap we use at home can impact pain.
Petrolatum products are now being recommended by plastic surgeons because they are so processed. We can’t really know WHAT they’re doing to products even if the process is supposed to make them safe.

I use organic castor oil and my skin and eye lashes. Bought in dark glass container. Also I sparingly use deodorant because of the aluminum. I have noticed since I changed my diet six years ago to a low low carb and no sugar, when I do sweat, I don’t have that stinky smell which I can assume is from all the food additives. I am also less sensitive to sun. I go to a local health food store for my vitamins and any other healthy options I need. I spend more time reading labels than I ever had before.

I use baking soda for deodorant, tooth paste, body powder. Organic coconut oil for lotion

Honestly, it’s so easy to make your own deodorant and body moisturising oil. Deodorant: 1 part witch hazel, 1 part lavender (or rose, frankincense etc) hydrozol, 1 part colloidal silver. Add essential oils like tea tree for antibacterial properties, and others for scent of choice, ie lavender, patchouli, lemongrass. Add to a glass spray bottle and so long as you keep a clean diet free of junk food, this deodorant works great. For body moisturiser, add some olive oil, jojoba, avocado, liquid coconut oil etc, to a bottle with essential oils. Rub on immediately after shower & drying off, it’s fantastic. As is whipped coconut oil or tallow balms.

I have an amazing deodorant hack for you! I learned body smell comes from lack of magnesium so I just use magnesium spray and it works better then any organic stuff

I've been slowly going cleaner with my products for a long time. Here are some CHEAP ways to go cleaner I've learned:
1. Alternate baking soda and Magnesium Oil for deodorant. Magnesium oil stings if you've just shaved, and baking soda can irritate the skin if used every day, so better to alternate. But these both work well. If that's not enough, consider making your own deodorant paste/powder. Many recipes online.
2. Wash your hair less. Apply a plant based oil to scalp and tips the night before a wash. Use castille soap and an apple cider vinegar rinse after.
3. Make some of your own makeup products and serums. The Rain Country YT channel has several recipes. There are many other channels with recipes as well.
4. Making your own perfumes can be quite fun using essential oils. There are tons of great recipes online.
5. Everyone should have natural oils, ACV, aloe vera gel, activated charcoal, and natural clays (bentonite, rhassoul, Redmond, etc) on hand for skincare, hair care, and internal uses.
6. Spend money only on the items you need but can't make or source easily.

I use Dr. Bronner‘s bar soap to shampoo my hair and I make a homemade conditioner using apple cider vinegar diluted with water and a mason jar. It takes extra time to detangle and brush out my hair after the shower but worth it so I don’t pay for expensive products. I have waist length hair and get nice comments about my hair and find this method is a great natural method. I keep coconut oil in a small jar in my shower to shave with. I also use it as a face and body moisturizer after my shower. I tried switching to natural deodorant and found that I had awful body odor. Eventually, I found that my diet was causing body odor and once I removed foods with gluten I no longer have a strong body odor. Coconut oil works perfect as a deodorant. I hope this helps! I can’t justify spending tons of money on products and I feel these are even better alternatives because they are in a simple and whole ingredient form.

love your video, but what concerns me is cost. My budget has no room for expensive products no matter the need and want.

I looked into purchasing some Under Luna shampoo. Jaw dropping expensive! Would you be able to recommend some less expensive alternatives? Thank you for the videos, they are great.

I don't use deodorant. My mother had a breast tumor wjen i was a child and her doctor told her to skip it altogether. I live in Portugal, but i don't have a lot of option in here. But i try to reduce my toxic intake. I also don't wear body lotion (only almond oil and it works just fine). For shampoo, i have some problems. I'm alergic to coconut. Most natural products have coconut oil in them... So i use a small portion of shampoo and only 3 times a month. The other washes are shampoo free (with rye flour or chickpea flour)... My conditioner is apple sider vinager. I need to improve my home quality and decrease toxicity in that area, for sure.

Natural oils are good- avocado oil, raspberry seeds oil, sesane oil, etc. Adding a few drops of natural oils like Rose, peony, jasmine, citrus and mi i all this with a shea butter makes w great body butter. Diy is great and cuts costs.

Very informative. Thank you for sharing. I have a question; what do you think about the Burt’s Bees products?

I love 100%pure’s mascara too! And I used to use their face stuff, but found I like MG Naturals’ BB cream - it’s delightful. It takes 3 weeks to get from Australia to Texas but it’s worth the wait! I am a mom of 7, in a single income household, so I get that it’s hard when it’s expensive. But I’m sure it’s cheaper than cancer treatment bills. I just buy a couple nice things about twice a year and make it last. For other things like deodorant and lip balm, I find natural/organic options at a local health food store. Even our local grocery store (HEB - yay Texas) is having more and more natural options. We vote with our money! 👏 Thanks for what you’re doing!

Thank you very much for raising these concerns. I will definitely check out recommended products. if you have a more economical recommendation for shampoo and conditioner, that would be very much appreciated.

& contain no preservatives. You have to use them within 3 to 6 months, as they are all natural. We love the shampoo bar and the lip balms.
