Painting a Detailed Landscape in Photoshop

In this video I show you how I paint an animation background for my film. I go to the actual location of the subject, shoot some references and then totally get lost in details during the painting process.
In the following episode we will animate traffic running over the bridge, so don't miss that one.

Being honest, at first having the camera view from the cintiq was kinda awkward but now I see how cool and different from the usual stuff it is, since we only see the brush ball and never the actual artist hand and that's huge on your videos man. Amazing project

I know what you mean lol. I do want to tackle something that crazy myself, but I tried a render picture which basic but I failed, it was a ruins but you gotta take foreground mid an background into consideration with shadows and lighting. Understanding depth and resolution takes experience and patience. You serve those qualities well but me not so much.
