The name of the plant with blue flowers is Plumbago auriculata (syn. Pumbago capensis)

Great to see you walking around my home town. I live just opposite where you interviewed the girls. The boulevards (the bull-running street) follow the line of the old defensive wall which is why the old town is in the centre of it all. If anyone’s interested in the bulls, it only happens one weekend a year in August when the town has its Fête Votive.

They are not "scared of cameras', they just value their privacy. Not everyone wants to be filmed and put on youtube, it's not hard to understand. Nice video btw, I've visited several times.

I am sitting watching you from my home in Uzes with fast fibre. Great town to live in. I also spend most of the winter in Les Carroz in the Grand Massif which I am sure you are familiar with.

Brilliant. Your accent reminds me of my favourite cricketer Geoff Boycott from England . Thanks for showing lovely places in Uzes.

Like the video but it gives the impression Uzes is empty in summer. Just go to the Saturday market!

I have been to Uzes as a foreign
exchange student in late 1980’s. Loved the village! My hosts owed the local cinema at the time!

Coming to Uzes at the beginning of September for a week.
As far as “ sitting around in that square “ goes.
Yes please !!!
Its the 12th of July in the Uk and it may as well be the 1st of December.
Sitting in the sun with a glass of wine with the only problem being which restaurant to eat at is fine with me.

Great vids mate.
Cheers.

We spent the 1st week of September there before a couple of days in Aix. May begin retirement there in a couple of years.

Please, no, don't buy a retirement house here. We have too many people driving up real estate prices.

I can’t decide whether or not the lack of people is ghostly or lovely. It sort of looks like the entire population vanished - suddenly.

Uzès is hardly a secret ! One of the (low key) poshest places in the south of France !

Its illégal in France to film people going about their daily business and posting online. You need consent but you would never know that.

Blue?? I found your Uzes tour delightful - having been there in 2019 when my travel buddy busted his head on a low door frame during one of the tower tours. The local doctor patched him up - and it was an easy day including a powerful rainstorm that cleared out the street vendors. Fortunately, we were close to that parking garage and got to our car just in time.
