This is a video showing how long it takes for a Tide Power Pod to dissolve in hot water.

This experiment is NOT designed to recreate a washing machine environment. It is a fun little test to see how water temperature affects pod dissolving times.

46 degrees of Celsius isn’t actually a hot water, but warm. Hot is 60 and higher😉

I'm always confused why people use these... the plastic bits don't ever dissolve

They are designed to rupture in 30 seconds or more in still 20*C water because of child safety. The film used to make the Pods also contain a bitterness agent not unlike the one used on Nintendo switch cartridges to deter human consumption.

I have a front load laundry, and these tide pods always melted into my clothes and I unknowingly put them in the dryer then it rips holes in my stuff -_- I don't get why these are still a thing

The washers in my complex do a complete cycle in 25 minutes so, according to your dissolving demo, the Tide would be in the rinse water and spin through the clothes twice.
Just use liquid.

This is why I only use liquid or powder

Here’s a quick question… Do you only put the pod in a very small amount of water as shown? Does the fact that the solution becomes saturated very quickly stop it from absorbing more and dissolving the pod to a greater degree… Because we all learned in primary school about supersaturated solutions being unable to take on more once peak absorption occurs.… I get the feeling a lot of your videos just involve playing on ignorance

Horrible for environment and horrible for your clothes… micro plastic chemicals …end up on your clothes and in our water systems. Sad. These need to be done away with.

If you are rich enough to afford hot water washes go for it. Im not, so I use a toothpick to poke holes squeeze the detergent out and its all over my hands but better than plastic being left in the washer..
