Suspended Over a Volcano in Hakone [Hakone Freepass Day Trip] | Life in Japan Episode 132

A short ways from Tokyo lies a volcanic region famous for its' views of Mt Fuji and transportation system which moves people around via trains, cable cars, gondolas and boats. A day trip to Hakone is full of memorable experiences, including a scenic train ride through the Japanese countryside, a switchback train that climbs up into the mountains, pirate ships that cross volcanic lakes and black eggs cooked in sulfur springs. But the height of the experience just might be the ropeway climb on Mt Hakone that leaves you dangling over the active volcanic vents of the region. This is a day trip you won't forget!

I visited Hakone once! We didn’t get to see Mount Fuji because it was really rainy and foggy but we did get to check out the open air art museum! It was really beautiful & I’ll definitely have to go back some time
