Abstract - SA PHN Immunisation Hub - Tracy Maynard

In response to South Australia’s unsatisfactory childhood immunisation coverage, high rates of influenza-related hospital presentations and admissions, poor access to after-hours immunisation services and the ongoing demand for clinical support at practice level the Adelaide and Country South Australia Primary Health Networks are jointly implementing the SA PHN Immunisation Hub to ensure a unified, ongoing immunisation focus across the state.

Through a blended model of commissioned and in-house services, the hub engages with a range of immunisation service providers and stakeholders in a coordinated and collaborative way.

The multi-faceted approach aims to bridge gaps in immunisation service provision, support the skill base of immunisation providers, improve accessibility to after-hours immunisation services and promote the need for a well immunised community.
