Dawn of War II: Retribution - Annoucement Trailer

THQ Inc. today announced that a second stand-alone expansion for its genre redefining real time strategy game, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2011.

Taking place years after the events in Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising, this title allows players to choose their perspective with the first multiple-race single player campaign in the Dawn of War II series. The first race to be revealed is the savage Orks, but no matter which race is chosen players will be taken on an epic journey through each story arc, revealing the answers to many questions left open in previous Dawn of War titles.

As well as the single player campaign, Retribution will feature new multiplayer units, maps and an entire new playable faction when it ships.

Jeff Lydell, Producer of Dawn of War II - Retribution commented: "We all love the Blood Ravens here at Relic Entertainment, but there are also a lot of fans of the other races and armies out there so we decided that Retribution should allow the player the freedom to experience the campaign from the perspective they select."

In the best way for myself, relic will add a inqusition as one race ( sisters of battle on shooting/ scouts, grey knights as close combat squad, for tank predator/immolator, for dreadnought a Grey knights dreadnought or this Sisters of Battle walking machine)

Not really, Orks are pretty balance from what i can tell, You can spam them if you like, but that doesn't mean victory or over taking the opponent like that, they go down pretty easily.

As for the new race, I would like to see Inquisition as whole (Daemonhunters, Witch Hunters and Ordo Xenos merged) in this expansion, along with the Inquisitors!

@raargh2 Retribution is bringing back basebuilding, which makes the old C&C fan in me smile, because hopefully retribution will tell EA that what it did with C&C 4 was NOT bloody cool.

Am I the only one who noticed the "i" letter from the "Retribution" that looks exactly the same as the Inquisition's symbol? A sign for the unrevealed race maybe?

@MilkPlus no no no i dont mean adding an ork pirate is rediculous i think its pretty funny addition for orks to be honest even though im a chaos fanboy. I mean when i thought trailer was fake which is isnt i was saying a trailer that only reveals an ork pirate is hardly an expansion but i know exp is confired etc soo

orkz campain...nice and this pirat warboss is nice too. THQ/Relic say somewhere when we will meet a Gorgutz 'ead 'unter in second expansion to DOW II. I think we will get a new unit to to the space marines campain(if thee will be SM campain, our FC probability go with Angelos to judge Azariah Kyras). I thnik there should be only orkz campain (waaagh!!!) and Space Marines ( but it will be Blood Ravens...again!).

well im considering possible fake or possible real fake due to the fact that a new race should have been revealed even slightly and since orks are ardy in the game an expansion just to add an orky pirat is rediculous even if it is a reveal trailer but we will find out tonight on dow 2 site if news is posted up
