When I read Michael Connelly books, I feel like he is an old friend telling me a story, so readable.

Diving into The Waiting tomorrow. I'm always excited to crack open a new Connelly book! Also, it's a bit sad knowing it'll be over

I love the Bosch series. I am on The Night Fire right now. I didn't think I was going to like Renée Ballard, but she's great. I love the Character development of Harry Bosch. Two Kinds of Truth which I read after Dark Sacred Night was just great. Harry has a heart of gold. I broke down and bought the ebook because I had reached it, decided to skip it because I had forgotten to order a copy, then after finishing Dark Sacred Night couldn't go on without reading Two Kinds of Truth. It's going to be hard to let go of Harry Bosch when the series ends.

I will read my copy as soon as I finish the book I’m currently reading. 😁

Pre-ordered of course.
Meanwhile I re-read Two Kinds of Truth and City of Bones.
I repeat myself: Imho, it's nothing less than genius writing in each and every aspect there is in novel writing.
We're talking literature here (of which I might say I have a little bit of an idea - even though in German in the first place).

Looking forward to seeing Maddie "in action".
I hope she doesn't have to "wade through the cesspool every day" as HB describes the work of a (rookie) patrol officer in the above mentioned City of Bones (where the rookie is Julia Brasher - without "Doubloon" even though she certainly is one :)).

Good luck, Maddie!
Be a worthy successor of your father's - actually sacred - mission!
Best regards from Switzerland (unlike Sweden).
