Maybe it's just a phenomenon known as aliasing due to limited frame rate of cameras. The rotation direction is not changing, but as the rotation speed decreases, it looks as if the direction changes. See for example: Wagon-wheel effect

Fan blades always rotate in the same direction, never "reverse". In this landing, reverse thrust was not used. Look at other YT videos showing how reverse thrust actually works.

When you say reverse do you mean the RTD, or the direction of spin from the blades that is to do with the frame rate of the camera?
