Invitatory Psalm 95
Come, let us sing to the Lord *
and shout with joy to the Rock who saves us.
Let us approach him with praise and thanksgiving *
and sing joyful songs to the Lord.

The Lord is God, the mighty God, *
the great king over all the gods.
He holds in his hands the depths of the earth *
and the highest mountains as well.
He made the sea; it belongs to him, *
the dry land, too, for it was formed by his hands.

Come, then, let us bow down and worship, *
bending the knee before the Lord, our maker.
For he is our God and we are his people, *
the flock he shepherds.

Today, listen to the voice of the Lord: †
Do not grow stubborn, as your fathers did
in the wilderness, *
when at Meriba and Massah
they challenged me and provoked me, *
Although they had seen all of my works.

Forty years I endured that generation. *
I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray
and they do not know my ways.”
So I swore in my anger, *
“They shall not enter into my rest.”

Oh no this podcast is stellar. You are feeding the hungry. Many thousands. We must share this podcast far and wide. Don't keep the good food to ourselves. This is a young person who will attract young people. And a handsome one as well.

Everything you can teach us about the Liturgy of the Hours I’ll be grateful for. I’m starving for it. May God reward your work.

Love it. Psalm 95 calls us “from slumber into song. That is conversion.” Go for it—chants, rants, and rambles!

I have often wonder why we always start with Psalm 95. It means so much more to me after listening to the break down. I get it now. Super helpful, thanks!

What a blessed time for me to have discovered your liturgy of the hours (I was browsing through Spotify typing l.a.u.d.s and lo and behold I found your "sing the Hours"!). I say this is a blessed time because I just moved from the city to the mountains on a solitary pilgrim journey, in a tiny hermitage. I am 62 years old, and I believe this is the life of retirement my God wants me to live. A contemplative life in the mountains! So, thank you dear one, for such a wonderful, wonderful ministry of singing the hours! I continue to pray the lauds and vespers with you... Blessings! God alone suffices🙏🏽

Thank you so much for your awesome chanting of the psalms!
I pray them along with you frequently, most often at night to end the
day in their beauty, and in reverence of our most awesome God.

Thank you for explaining the "why" of the Invitatory. I always miss it if I don't start my day with it. Now I know why. 😊
