I love the bag and its feature set/flexibilty. That said, I would also prefer to downsize but as a dad leading little backpackers-in-training that likely ain't happening soon. Need to be north of 5' 7" for the best fit. Black for sure if you want that bullet proof-ness > ascetics.

The internal straps are pretty flimsy for compression. The light colors are cool, but I stress out easily if the bag gets dirty…

this backpack is wayyy too big for Marissa 😅 if its not adjustable the gap is way too big with the shoulder straps 😅
