I've switched to Copilot recently from GPT-4 and I see similarities in its implementation. Both work better with clear articulation of your current code structure and relevant classes, but it also misses some very obvious things sometimes, like suggesting a refactoring that would add more unnecessary complexity and only after a lot of back and forth does it notice something operating just outside of the scope we were working in that already handled what it was trying to include with the refactoring. So yeah, scope and context are the big limitations so far, both working with concepts and an existing developed code base. It's good at the little things, like throwing in debug and remembering formatting. It often wants to implement old code that was rejected or refactored. Doesn't have the reasoning capacity of GPT-4. Good at giving explanations of code once complete that can be copied and pasted directly into documentation. That saves a lot of time.

Indeed, it's not GPT 4 nor 3, I think they've mention it somewhere that it uses a different model, supposedly specifically trained for for coding only. So I definitely was skeptical they can deliver same quality, thanks for sharing this - you confirmed my expectations. ChatGPT 4 is still a king (you don't even need Code Interpreter or plugins for most programming questions).

Thanks I'm using chatGBT4 the same way giving it relevant parts of code, performance is great, sometimes i make like grid or smth an just say how to setup some component and it is 80% done.

MyAdvise: always take time to fully understand code you are pasting (at last conceptual whats gong on)
had many situations when chat wanted to change parts that would make mess...

2.Be carefull when troubleshooting errors with chat ( it goes straightfoward to error, can miss some higher level stuff) missing files or general missconfiguration

3. Dont be so sure, ( was implenting graph ql querries for strapi and chat was failing syntax for simple object all the time) lost like 40 min, then found solution in 40 sec on official documentation... (might be update related stuff)
