Power Apps Visual for Power BI | Build Live Application with Power Apps Visual inside Power BI

In this video, we will talk about Power Apps visualization inside the Power BI. We will talk the step by step procedure that you should know about the Power Apps visualization inside the Power BI.

First, we will build a Power BI report with the DirectQuery Mode of SQL Server. We will configure a Gateway and Publish a report to Power BI Service.

Once the report has been published, we will use the Power Apps visualization inside the Power BI and create a Power Apps to build a form. We will learn how to create New Form, Edit Form, Grid view inside Power Apps for Power BI App.

Once we create an app, we will perform testing. Once we submit any new record from the Power Apps, on the fly it will be reflecting the Power BI report. Interaction with other visualization is also supported by this Power Apps visual.

At last, we will be a discussing about permission and sharing model for Power Apps and some limitations which we need to consider.

Hi Dhruvin, Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Do you have idea on how to export BI service report which with embedded Powerapps, and import it to BI desktop report? Cuz normally a BI service report needs to be updated from BI desktop report, and unfortunately since Nov. the new version of BI desktop have trouble supporting building or choosing an existing app to embed (have reported this issue to MS). That's why I'm trying to build the embedded powerapps in BI service..but now don't see a way to import it back to BI desktop, any advice is appreciated!!

personal mode gateway installed but not display in gateway to add data source . I have added standard mode gateway and data source successfully but power BI service doesn't refresh sql server data through direct connect mode .
