Canadian PM Trudeau Receives First Dose of AstraZeneca's COVID-19 Vaccine

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau received his first dose of AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine at an Ottawa pharmacy, Friday, April 23.

Afterwards he posed for television cameras and photographers with his thumbs up and then watched as his wife Sophie received her first shot.

Sophie came down with a mild case of the coronavirus at the start of the pandemic last year.

Canada has so far recorded a total of 23,822 deaths and 1,155,834 cases of COVID-19. Earlier Friday, Trudeau announced a deal with Pfizer for millions of booster shots.

The number of daily cases in Canada has doubled this month to 8,600, and health officials earlier said they could jump again to more than 15,000 by the end of April unless stricter measures were taken as new coronavirus variants spread.

Yes, our government is out of control. I was terminated from O.S.M.H. for not releasing my vaccination status. Now I am 55yrs old with no unemployment insurance, no income, no severance because they said I was terminated with cause. The one lawyer I contacted basically said he didn't want to see me because it's legal. It's been over 3 months since termination and I'm now out of money to live and support my dependant. I'm just now starting to be able to speak out because of the pain they caused me. I'm a highly specialised biomedical engineer that supported all the local hospitals. Vaccination status was never a term for employment when hired. When and if I can find a job in my field of study, what is to prevent them from terminating me in the future. I am a victim of illegal acts by both my governments and employer but, not one to play the victim card. What do you recommend I do not willing to divulge my medical information? P.S. I'm not Typhoid Marry and if I was, I would isolate myself without a mandate.
