The International MaxxPro MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle is an armored fighting vehicle designed by American company Navistar International's subsidiary Navistar Defense along with the Israeli Plasan Sasa, who designed and manufactures the vehicle's armor.

The vehicle was designed to take part in the US Military's Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle program, led by the US Marine Corps, as well as a similar US Army-led Medium Mine Protected Vehicle program.

MRAPs are categorized as category 1 or category 2, depending on usage and passenger compartment space, and Navistar produces the MaxxPro in both sizes, although the vast majority of those sold have been category 1 MRAPs. The MaxxPro Plus model comes with dual rear wheels for increased load carrying capacity, such as an ambulance or EFP protected variant. The latest model produced is the MaxxPro Dash, which is a smaller and lighter category 1 model. Both the Plus and Dash models use the MaxxForce 10 engine with 375 hp, in place of the DT 530 with 330 hp, used in the original base model produced.

Great job on the dash board, I built mine and painted it with Model Master Desert Sand Paint and weathered it slightly with some diluted light brown flat acrylic paint . They have some full scale MRAP MaxxPros at the National Guard Armory near where I live in America so I copied the paint color they have,  I want to get a look inside the real ones, but they are fenced in.

I know this post is a little old, but Great job Carlos. But one small detail on the facts at the beginning. Kinetic did not make a Dash Model. No one does. I know as I have worked on the MaxxPro for 6 years. The Dash has shorter a/c grilles on the sides and the roof is flat from the windshield straight back. We did this when we shortened the vehicle about a foot and reduced the height about 10 inches. I made the only Dash model in existence by cutting up a resin version. Other than that, very good detail, looks great.

Gracias por la página, estaba buscando una pagina española y de buena calidad en la que me pudiera fiar. Estoy ansioso de pedir una maqueta en cuanto reúna el dinero.

Awesome work!!! By the way, what is the name of that rubberish violet/pink substance used on top of a toothpick to put plastic parts in their hole to glue them?

Una pregunta por curiosidad, ¿como coges las piezas con los palillos?, ¿con plastilina? o ¿por presión? ¿Cómo lo haces? gracias por adelantado y enhorabuena por tu trabajo

Great build up! At what stage did you remove the tape masks from the small side windows? They seem to be there as you paint the body. Did you just mount the windows temporarily?

Bom amigo, parabéns sigo seus vídeos  mas não encontrei nenhum que mostra a pintura de painel, aliás todos os plastimodelistas  não vejo explicação alguma de como fazer

It´s called "weathering", not adding 20 layers of smirky shit to make the vehicle look as unrealistic as possible... You won´t ever see an MRAP which looks like this.

hello to everyone,

which glue do you use after having painted the parts? is it the same you use for the plastic, the photo-etched parts or is it another? :) thanks
