Tord Returns! Eddsworld 2024 Update

Tord has returned!.. Kinda. In the most recent 2024 Eddsworld Update, Tord makes an appearence through static and underwater glass. Is this an alternate story for Tord? A prequel in the works? The resergence of Red Leader? Or could it be nothing at all?

Pretty much after 4 years something big would happen, example in 2020 the show returned. 4 years later now Tord is back...

kinda already knew tord was returning back in 2021. you see bing used to do eddsworld vlogs (theres 3 i think) with one showing beaster bunnys production with a image blurred of new assets for tord and his character oufit so i was waiting for this day lol

Okay, so I just had a thought. What if the Tord in The End was a clone, just not in the way we think? What if Tord purposefully cloned himself to have someone continue his life or to take the blame for something? In a lot of media, clones are often stored in tubes with liquid inside them, which is one way the camera's positioning could be interpreted. Perhaps he needed to be in two very different places at once or someone finally caught up to him. When stumbles towards the camera, he doesn't look like he's in the best shape, but the way he smiles makes it look like things are all going to plan. It also might explain the wound on his cheek. Maybe he needed to use some of his flesh or blood to make said clone. I don't know, I'm just guessing

Eddsworld never really had a main antagonist, just a bunch of one time nuisances who hindered them through the episode and then things go back to normal after, excluding Eduardo. But Tord is the villain that we never expected yet we all loved. He’s like one of those bitter sweet type villains. He’s so iconic that you just gotta love him. And the fact that this whole thing now going on with Tord not being expanded on after the end and instead getting a supposed prequel was rather sad for me cause I thought he had so much potential as a serious, threatening villain.

Two things I think that are going to happen: 1, Tord may get his own prequel comic detailing what happened between his departure and the end. 2, this one may be a little bit out there but maybe, maybe we will be getting a super average comic in collaboration with Tomska, or its not maybe its absolutely not but who cares.

It's such a great time to be an Eddsworld fan rn. Most exciting thing that's happened in so long. I for one can't wait to see more Future Edd in the comics!

tord really said "you thought I was gone?" But y'all let's be honest before Edd died he gave so much inspiration he gives us that feeling that it doesn't matter how simple or detailed it is in the end its something we can be proud of
