Previously, if you wanted a performance 7-seater SUV, your only option was German and it required you to spend over $100,000 dollars. Leave it to the folks at Mopar to introduce the ultimate #Dodge #Durango. This 2018 #SRT model puts nearly 500 horsepower to all 4 wheels from the big 392 cubic inch #Hemi V8 for a very reasonable $62,995. Just be prepared for some pretty high fuel bills.

It's sad to see all the comments disparaging FCA for product quality. I believe them, so you can be sure it was a huge risk when I decided to get my brand new Durango. But I have to say-- 0 problems minus some infotainment quirks and I am super impressed. In 2 years I've put 60K miles on it and frankly it's performed wonderfully

A lot of posts here claiming FCA products are junk. I’m puzzled, because my mother has a 2013 Durango AWD v6 with about 125k miles and that thing runs great still. I drove it and was surprised at how solid it felt on the road. No vibrations. No noises. Very smooth. We took her Durango on a 3000 mile road trip last year to the Pacific Northwest and this year a 1500 mile trip around Lake Powell and Capital Reef in Utah. It’s been a trusty steed for her and for our family trips. She said it’s only needed normal maintenance.

I'm 6'1" and I sat in the back of my 2019 Durango without a problem. This guy is never happy.

Two corrections: 1) The SRT does have cylinder deactivation. Same as the 5.7. In both the R/T and SRT, this feature can be disabled. Only the Pentastar V6 engine lacks this feature. In the SRT, you configure cylinder deactivation in the Uconnect, unlike the R/T where there is a button. 2) The steering wheel paddle shifters are 100% metal. I know you said they "feel cheap and plastic". That might be true. But they are metal. I've replaced the standard ones with the SRT version. They are definitely metal.

I have a stock Infiniti Q60 and I raced an FBO Durango SRT from a dig. I got absolutely demolished! to see a big SUV move that fast with a simple NA setup against my lighter twin turbo car was crazy! These SRT guys weren't messing around when they made these things.

Dodge has always offered it's customers bang for your buck. After the warranty expires, the engine goes bang and you spend all of your bucks repairing it.

I have to say that FCA is the only (albeit not fully) American brand/organisation that knows how to design a good looking product. The interior and exterior designs are definitely best in Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep models.

I don't have a family, but I still own a Durango RT. It's fun and practical. I can fit my bicycles in it and I can tow my RV.

I really wish I could own an FCA product without feeling irresponsible. Some of them are a lot of fun but they are just such a poor investment.

FCA has invested in solid power trains and great ZF transmissions. The quality is up.
I recommend a Durango. I’ve had my Durango for almost three years and never had to take it back from any problem . I can’t say the same for my wife’s Toyota. Thanks for sharing review.

He don’t even mention the best thing about this vehicle and the reason I bought it.This thing is a towing machine! 8700Lbs Tow capacity for a mid Size suv is insane. The next best in its class is 5600lb capacity

About the current architecture: The WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango debuted the last JOINT venture from the Daimler-Chrysler merger in 2011. This Durango sits on the same architecture as the current MBZ GLS(the GLS did not get it until 2013), and the GC was first to get the architecture prior to the 2012 MBZ ML-Class(2019 GLE-Class).

It is common for the uninformed to believe Mercedes "handed-down" Chrysler platforms. It just is not true.

Nice looking. I have driven the Durango in the past and liked it a lot. While there are many comments about reliability issues with FCA I suspect the problems are mostly relative to say Toyota. All new cars are far more reliable than they were just 10 years ago.
