Kugoo S1 Pro Electric Scooter Review: How Much Better is the 'Pro'?

This is is the 7th electric scooter that I am thoroughly testing – the Kugoo S1… Pro.
Straight to the hardware: Package – good – and I got mine from Geekbuying – it is nicely packed, and comes in a big safe fox, and also has a nice carrying bag with the Geekbuying logo.
There is no assembling needed – take it out, charge it, and it is riding-ready. This is one of its greatest strengths – because often people are scared about putting things together.
You will immediately notice the wider board – and that gives more comfort to your feet – I’m 45EU shoes – and feels ok.
The scooter has a motor in the front wheel, power of 350W, and feels faster and more powerful than M365 – and feels slightly less powerful than the m365 pro. Both wheels have solid tires, but now they are using air gapped honeycomb models, which feel nicer and softer.
Although the price for the S1prro is only 350 USD – it does have active suspension – both on the front and the rear. And unlike the previous generation – where it was so stuck that I didn’t even notice it at the start – with the Pro it was all fine-tuned and quite soft and responsive – and you can adjust it to your weight additionally. That was a good surprise.
Three speeds – 12, 20 and 25 km/h, or up to 30 for certain regions. There is also cruise control – maintain the speed for a few seconds and it kicks in. Cool to is the display with real time speed info – and easy to switch between gears. Lights are fine, a front and a rear.
The most annoying part of all is the constant rattling noise – everyone in a perimeter of 40-50 meters can hear that something is coming if the asphalt is a little more abrasive
Range is fine – I reached 20km, which is a great achievement for a person with my weight in the city – where you stop and accelerate all the time. Because the motor is not having KERS and energy recovery – it can last more when there is no acceleration – so cruising at no power cost is an option at slight slopes.
Even when the voltage drops below 35 – there still is power and thrust – that also is good. Oh – and not to forget – it is NOT a kick scooter – accelerates from a still stand.
Foldable, very portable, two independent brakes, a display with real time speed and overall good range, good acceleration, active suspension, accelerating from still stand, and maintenance free tires. This is the good. Build quality issues, not the greatest folding mechanism, not so smooth riding, and kind of noisy if road is not perfectly leveled – at the end it is your choice – if you ask me – at a price of around 350 EUR or USD – it is remarkable how much is packed. But is that good enough to beat the M365?

Got mines 3 weeks ago. My first and loving it. I do agree that you can feel the road. Watch out for uneven roads and pot holes. I am always looking forward. I still go with solid tires. Can’t beat the safety of no punctures and hassle free maintenance.
