I’ll never forget the day my therapist told me I no longer needed therapy and she was ready to send me back out into the world! I was a little nervous at first, but she helped me see just how far I had come and how much work I did. I truly was ready to move on! The saving grace is if I ever find that I need help, I could always go back. I’m getting tears just thinking about that moment with her. I’m honored to finally be pursing my education so that I can also be a help to others the way that she helped me and how you help others! THANK YOU! You have literally blown this accomplishment out of the water! CONGRATULATIONS! 🎊🎉 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

So my school just started advertising for their MFT MA courses and I am currently studying Women & Gender studies & Human and Family Development in undergrad so it sparked my interest. I'm really glad that you were the first person to pop up when I searched because I was really nervous about finding people who look like me, doing a profession like this.

I've had therapists growing up as a kid and i never had one who looked like me so I never fully felt understood and I definitely never talked about issues surrounding race relations. etc. I hope I can be that for someone.

Hey Steph!! Congratulations on 1k subscribers!!!! So excited for you!!
I literally binge watched all of your videos within the past few weeks and I can honestly say that I love all of your videos!! Its one thing to read about what a career in therapy is like, but to hear it coming from someone who has been through schooling, has a passion for this, and is a woman of color (someone who looks like me)- you are such an inspiration. My favorite video is "I Quit my corporate job to work for Free."because I have currently been working at an agency for one year, and it completely drains me. I just got my bachelors degree last year and I did not know what to do next. But I have always desired a career that helps others and I love talking and analyzing relationships. I just decided a few weeks ago to get my Masters in MAFT hopefully starting Fall 2021. I love sharing your videos with others. Thank you so much for all of your insight and keep recording girl!!!

I can’t choose a favourite video because I have watched all of them and love them! I want to be a MFT and you’re such a huge role model and great source of information for me. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for pointing out the creativity! I'm starting to open my eyes to all the different things that can be included in therapy and not just what we typically see as talk therapy. I love it!

I know I’m a little late, but my favorite video is ‘I Quit My Corporate Job to Work FREE as a Therapist’. I’m feeling the same way! I knew I’ve wanted to be in this field since I was in middle school, but unfortunately my actions were not consistent with completing my degree earlier in life 😫. I’m back on track now though. Thank you so much for your videos!

My favorite video is where you talk about the MFT video. That video is how I found you and was so insightful. I also liked the one about landing your dream internship because it helped me to prepare for mine! My IG is @motivated.mami31

Congratulations on 1k! 🥳
I just recently found your channel & I’m so grateful for every video! I’ve been working in the behavioral health/family services field for a few years and for the longest time I’ve wanted to become some kind of therapist I just didn’t know where to start or what kind. I finally decided on pursuing becoming a MFT (which is how I found you, searching up tips lol) one of my favorite videos (out of all the amazing ones) is your “networking tips for marriage & family therapists & future therapists”. Literally after watching that video I felt so inspired & even started applying to different programs! There were so many great tips and advice said in it. Thank you for sharing all your wisdom, knowledge & experiences! Looking forward to watching more 😃

Hi Steph!! Omg I love all of your videos so it’s hard to choose but I’ll land on these two: The one above (5 things I love about being a therapist) because hearing about someone’s love for the field I want to join is so exciting & inspiring! I love hearing about the joys of being a therapist because it’s so aligned with who I am and what I want for my career.

The next is the Pros & cons of an online masters program. This video was super helpful because I am contemplating between an online and in person program and sometimes it’s hard to get reviews for online programs. Hearing from someone that recently graduated from an online program in my preferred field makes the process to decide a lot easier! Can’t wait for more videos :) ig: @tasiamonet_

Just found you and I love your channel! Can you make a video elaborating on a sex therapist career and certification? We have the same career goal! Thank you!

Congrats!! I remember finding your channel super late at night (when I should've been sleeping lol) when you had somewhere 110 subscribers. I remember thinking, "how does she not have more subscribers considering the quality of her content??" So it really does not surprise me as to how fast your channel has grown.

My favorite video was the one you did about your online master's program because as someone that thrives in an online learning environment, I felt oddly validated that I could actually have the option of becoming an LMFT one day. I guarantee you will be hitting 5k, 10k, and even 100k in no time. :) IG: @gabbymcell

How has COVID affected you and your new profession if at all? Have you switched over to a web-based format?
