Testing out all my Apple devices - iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini in the hopes of finding the best way of playing Xbox Cloud Gaming. I recent bought an Xbox Series X, and subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, and without a gaming PC anymore, I wondering, can Xbox Cloud Gaming be a substitute for a gaming PC? Watch for more.

I have tried Xbox Cloud Gaming and I had a fun time for the most part. I used it on Android and the experience is much better compared to iOS. One advantage that Android has is that you can hook up your controller via USB-C to help reduce latency. There is still some room for improvement and I hope we get to a point where most of the technical issues are resolved. I just wish Apple wasn’t so stubborn about cloud gaming as I think it would be a success for the platform.

The Xbox cloud service must be improved, for sure. There is a lot of potential though. However, the console streaming via Xbox app is really good! I travelled a couple of weeks ago and decided to bring my Xbox controller to try playing with my iPad mini 6. The experience was solid! I used the Hilton’s Wi-Fi and got no delay, lags or anything!

I've found Nvidias GeForce Now to be the best experience for me when it comes to gaming with my friends. The fact it runs Steam and I can play with all my friends on Steam is great.

Man.. cloud gaming is so sick. I’ve always done remote play on my 13 pro max, but I finally figured out how to play via cloud gaming, and wow. Absolutely insane how I can play my Xbox just about anywhere I go.

I tried Xbox Cloud gaming on my low end multimedia pc (basic "office" optiplex with i3 and 8G of ram in it and windows 10) and i didn’t have any sort of issue like you did. My internet connection is only 50mbps. No lag, no pixelation, very smooth gameplay and surprisingly low latency, only noticible in few games.

I don't know if the streaming will ever match hardware, but I'm amazed at where it is now let alone in 5 years. A few months ago I flew to my brother's bachelor party and had a 2 hour layover getting to snap on a RAZR controller and play AAA games while waiting to board on a 5G connection was clutch.

You are having a common Wifi 6 issue with conflicting hardware, as such your speeds would improve if you went down to Wifi 5. Xbox Game Pass Cloud gaming have screen controls for some games. It usually mentioned it in the game listing. Whilst you are likely to experience lag with streaming, your setup adds lag with the Wifi and it’s aforementioned issue, and the controller being connected to Bluetooth. Microsoft recently showed a new feature that is suppose lower latency by a lot. Good video.

I played battlefield 2042 multiplayer last night on my 12.9 M2 iPad Pro and it was definitely playable Nov 2023

What I like about cloud gaming is the option to game without a console. No graphics card or insane amount of storage necessary. Cloud Gaming for Xbox is still in beta stages, but once the technology is complete, it will be amazing. I wish Steam would come up with their version of cloud gaming because they would gain more customers.

I've been experiencing no input lag and although the video is a bit blurry, the games are 100% playable. I just play on my laptop with a wired PS4 Dualshock controller on the web and on my wireless 100MB WiFi!

I just started using the cloud gaming feature and I’m not having any issues. In fact it’s a really solid experience. Halo Infinite runs smooth, also Assassin’s Creed Origins looks amazing on my iPad Pro. I mostly use it to play older games like Shadow of War.

Oddly enough the only game that’s had somewhat of a lag is Tunic but that game is trash anyway.

Google Stadia is so good with latency and live streaming video compression codec, because they have the multi-year expertise, datacenters and technology of YouTube. I really wished they really competed seriously on this.

I play every day on my workplace Wi-Fi. The only time I’ve had those issues is when the Wi-Fi speed dips. At home it’s pretty smooth on the faster connection. Maybe it’s your location?

I’ve already made the switch and for the past week I’ve been enjoying Cloud Gaming as my primary source/outlet for gaming and I’m a AAA title and competitive gamer now playing 100% of my games on the cloud and it’s been such a wonderful and seamless experience, I can only imagine what the future holds at this moment in time🎮👾🕹️🧑🏽‍💻

Cloud gaming on my IPad Pro is amazing. It has gotten so much better in the last 2 months. I do have decent Internet though.

I'm in Japan and I use XCloud almost daily, it's weird we had such a different experience. I had almost zero lag when playing games. Just finished Jedi: Fallen Order, which needs pixel-perfect blocks and responses and it was quite playable. Now I'm playing Hitman 3, since it seems to overheat Xbox One X units for some reason, but the cloud version runs just fine.
