These 9:30 est start times make it near impossible to enjoy the game every year

And Uconn just had the most dominant back to back titles ever. Uconn literally won all 12 of their tournament games the last 2 seasons by 13 or more points. The previous record was 6 straight double digit wins in the tournament. Uconn also broke the record for margin of victory in a tournament. Uconn won their 6 tournament games by 140 points. The previous record was 129 by 1996 Kentucky. Not saying Uconn is the greatest team ever, but they definitely just finished off the most dominant back to back title run in college basketball history. Crazy!

It was edey and everyone else just liked Caitlin Clark in Iowa vs South Carolina no bench and both teams didn't have another score on the team

I kept telling people Uconn can't be beat by one player. You need 5 plus luck. Would have been close if Edey had any help but he didn't and it wasn't. Feels damn good to be a Uconn fan. Thanks guys for making our lives easy.

Dan Hurley is playing chess while all the other coaches are playing checkers.

Great college players vs long, athletic, NBA guards.

I think Braden is above average. He's tough, smart, and improved a ton over his freshman year. Loyer has nothing other than catch and shoot.

Uconn exposed them by not forsaking the mid range jumpers. Over and over Edey. This is what TN didn't do against Purdue and concentrated on trying to prevent Edey from getting his inevitable points. Let him get his points, and just concentrate on be consistent scoring, and compete for rebounds, and Klingman was very capable of doing that and did. Edey has skill but there is no way this going is playing even close to every minute in the NBA. Klingman has endurance on Edey. They will try and block you in the NBA and Klingman was told not to be overly aggressive in blocking him. They needed him to be at no risk for fouling out. He did that. But also we know you have to be about 7'2 to competively cause Edey to miss. Edey went some long stretches without scoring in this game and accounted for 80% of Purdue's points. Uconn also just all around was faster, better control of the ball. Shot the midrange and didn't turn it over much.

In the semifinal, UConn had 4 players with 14+ points and 5+ rebounds. The only other teams to do that were coached by legends (Williams -UNC, Coach K-Duke and Wooden-UCLA). In the finals all 5 starters had 11 + points and 5+ rebounds. It’s a team game, and UConn plays fantastic team basketball.

Zach Edey gets away with a lot of Shit. All Tournament Games Edey could elbow other players in the face or ribs and the refs would let him get away with it. Guys were posting up Edey in the blocks and were called for fouling him. Edey is going to get slaughtered at the next level. Rudy Gobert or Karl Anthony Towns are going to destroy him.

Purdue has aerospace, premed, finance and business school students playing basketball this year. They are college students. Not NBA players. As Hurley said last night he wants NBA players. Not students. Beat the Boilermakers up as much as you want they are reflective of what college sports used to be. Kudos to UCONN for the win last night.

You didn’t mention at all that UConn let Edey try to take over the game, thus scoring 40 points. But in turn their plan was to shut down the rest of Purdue and their perimeter game. So this tired and frustrated Edey from carrying the team. Uconn then executed their amazing offense.

Uccon exposed Purdue but not allowing their shooters to get open who were second in the country in 3 point percentage. Dan Hurley knew as long as they ran their sets which they did they were going to win

Don’t get me wrong Edey was great, but at least 8-10 of his points were basically free without any defense lol, either way he’s a great player.

What about when they had Jaden Ivey Purdue had insane guard play with Edey

Die hard Purdue fan. First half there was a glimmer of hope between the Smith/Edey synergy, but anyone who has touched a basketball could see our guards were a full deviation of skill/athleticism under UConn’s guards.

Having watched a lot of UConn, it always plays the same. Teams completely gas themselves in the first half to “keep it close” then UConn shifts into 6th gear and goes for the kill.

Tl;dr any team that is so athletically dominated they can only ATTEMPT (4) three pointers. Let that sync in…they physically were incapable of getting space to shoot any 3 pointers…will never beat a team of this caliber.

Alabama’s guards + Edey/Nelson vs. UConn would have been a game for the ages..
