this video is misleading, by the last line he meant that advanced vaala baccha seedha problems ki book uthata hai, like a das gupta or the black book because usne sab already padh liya hota hai.
cengage is very descriptive, it's tailor made for the students who are self studying and that's why it has a lot of questions. that doesn't mean it's not good.
speaking from the perspective of a self study student, i myself use cengage for both theory and practice first and then go to other books and i assure my preparation is going good

Bhai cengae is really helpfull aur sir ne cengage ko khud apni book me Kai sare question vahi se Dale hai book sari sufficient hai karne wala hona chaiye

As my teachers suggested me :
1) coaching modules is first priority
2) now u can give topic wise test
3) after this try to solve pyqs
If you are able to do then no book required but if u had extra time then u can do books with selective problems only👍👍🥰🥰
