Dave likes to use his old riffs alot I've noticed. It's kind of like telling a story from the past type thing

Sweet detail there. Love the last album. First album is great musically but poor production so its cool to hear an old riff with new sound :D

when there is just too much awesome in a riff, you have to use it again 37 years later

That I noticed. Celebutante has a sound like Killing Is My Business album and it's like listening to it with modern production. Megadeth haven't lost their touch. Thanks

This album and metallicas 72 both have a theme that is calling back to not only the beginning but the journey overall

They're similar rhythmically but I think different enough that he gets a pass on this one

I think someone who has written songs for over 40 years can be forgiven for recycling a riff here and there.

There’s a bunch of callback riffs on sick dying and dead.

The ending riff in mission to mars is similar to the ending riff from my last words.

I mean the guy has used the Tornado of Souls riff in Vortex and Never Walk Alone…A Call To Open Arms.

Black Friday is almost identical to We'll Be Back.

This might’ve been a tribute to KIMB but I doubt he’d remember something he wrote 40 years ago while recording

The fact that that’s my favorite riff from them

There's a riff in Junkie that references Liar.
