Elephant Learning Math Academy Review

My daughter has a learning disability in math so we added Elephant Learning Math Academy to our daily schedule to help her improve her math skills.

One thing that I forgot to mention in the review is that the program covers math from counting to Algebra.

I watched a TED talk which basically said people advanced better in games when they weren’t told they’re wrong or punished for making a mistake. I hear Elephant Math Ai language say “that is incorrect” too often and it feels so cold and makes me feel bad from the other room! I picked up some basic math work books with answer keys. I work on 2-3 pages a day with my daughter and told her about the answer key. I Explained we’ll never get a wrong answer because we can work backwards with the answer when we get something wrong and correct our mistakes and learn together. After our session I grade every page with 100 percents and smiley faces…because we work on each problem until we get it right. No more red ink and now she loves math! We also play a card or board game after every session that we don’t otherwise play. It’s a great incentive! Also, using a pie or m&ms for percentages and fractions. They nail it in a day with actual sweets or money involved. Thanks for the review. That’s my two cents after using elephant math for a couple months.

These guys offer scholarships. We enrolled on a scholarship 🙌🏻. Day 1 and excited. Miss 9 has all the dys’s and ASD and ADHD… this program has considered the needs of neurodiverse children.

Every child is different. My 13 year old is still trying to keep up with the kids in his class but he is struggling. I just need to know that what I'm doing (using this program) is worth it. I am a single mom and every dollar counts. So with that being said I will try this program and if that doesn't work then I will look for another. I will give it a month and we will see...

I’m a homeschool mama and I’ve always struggled with math. I’m finding that my son also struggles with math and I firmly believe that it’s important that a teacher understand the subject well in order to teach it well. It’s obvious to me that it’s my fault that he’s struggling, so I’m excited to see this program! I hope that it helps!

Can Kahn academy and elephant math together be sufficient for 3rd grade math?

Can this work as a whole curriculum with the worksheets and all? Or does it need to be supplemented with something else?

I’m a homeschool mom and been using rod and staff math books and just started this program but i’m not sure if i stop the books and use this program or if i do both? what do you think?

I got the program. I only want to say that if your kid doesn’t like math, there is not program that they will like it. Both of my girls are good math students but hate homework. I bought the program so they can be better but they don’t like it and said it is boring. So good luck.

I have to say I would have liked to see a review more about how the program works than a long tour of the dashboard. Most program's dashboards are pretty similar and self-explanatory-- but how is the LEARNING EXPERIENCE for your child!? And is there another way of gauging her progress other than what the Elephant crew themselves tells you?! With kindness, I didn't find the review that helpful.

This looks seriously boring. There are MUCH better programs out there to make a child actually love math. You only showed us a small part of the actual work the child has to do. I personally don’t care about me tracking of my child’s progress as I would be right next to him seeing how he is working. Could you give us an update on how this worked out for your child?
