This thing is great an has a lot of potential. But a major point of failure especially with a large potential audience being coffee snobs is the ambiguity with your instructions. Even with the markings, having an alternate estimate of the amount of coffee needed in grams is extremely important. Why? Because many of us are grinding our beans prior to use. Gauging that is difficult when you're only told to fill up to the markings for hot / cold. This also goes with the dilution recommendation - this being a coffee concentrate is great! but for how many servings when you follow the markings, and how much water should be used for diluting. And for lattes, is diluting with water necessary when using creamer, etc. Product is excellent, but user experience feels hindered and is confusing with these gaps in documentation.

I'm very curious as to why steep time is required when a majority of the water isn't even in contact with the coffee.

The biggest complaint I see is that it doesnt seal and coffee will slowly seep out, with some brewing methods calling for 5 mins of steep time, that may allow all the liquids to have already drain. My recommendation would be to make the extrusion area smaller and the "filter" finer.

How can it EVER actually brew if the water is never in contact with the coffee until you PUMP it through.
