Therma shells have very unique mechanics that can be further explained. Its similar to Sobeks acid shells. Use it with Saryn's venom doze and sporrs and see how you melt an entire general direction with one shot

Still worth using if you don't like the pin point like accuracy of the Tenet Detron, which makes it not feel like a shotgun

OMG! This weapon is so much fun. Just sucks having to always mod for the faction you're taking on. In the end I just set it for Corpus and take other weapons for other factions.

I used to love detron so so much, back before the damage type changes, shotgun status chance "nerf" and other things like that.. you know, way back when mara detron was way better than it is now. you could use it to do more hilarious damage against grineer because radiation already does decent damage, and just 2 or 3 shots and you could strip 100% armor away from any nasty bombard or heavy gunner or whatnot, permanently.
Nowadays tho, not a weapon I really use at all, if I even touch it. Though I recond it could be made awesome again with the help of a few certain status arcanes, like Cascadia empower which causes any status effect to do extra 750 damage when the status effect procs on a weapon. Detron procs a lot of status effects, stands within reason it could do hilarious damage.

I'm not sure if you've noticed but you've skipped the normal detron in the D part of the weapon encyclopaedia, i would imagine that they work almost the same tho
