The Practice of Cloud System Administration, Volume 2 is a fantastic overview of the higher-level technical skills and components that every DevOps engineer (or accidental system architect) should know.

It's a great introduction on how to think about DevOps, Infrastructure, and Systems Architecture. It's also great for sysadmins and DevOps engineers who want to move to the next level in their thinking and career.

If you're planning on working on (or designing) large distributed systems, this is a MUST-READ.
