The Geely Monjaro is the name given to the new SUV being exported to foreign markets this year. It's an up-spec model of the very popular Xingyue L here in China and it's my favorite Geely product to date. Check it out as i play with one of them for a week.

I have been obsessing over this car for the last 6 months or so! It’s a gorgeous car for an even more gorgeous price. Love what geely’s doing. Hope it’s released in my country soon. Can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Xingyue L is well designed, well built and really cheap(compare to lynk co 01 and volvo xc40 based on same CMA platform).
Quality is so good and the only two disadvantages I found are, first infortainment system(Chinese version) isnt good, but if global version have carplay or android auto the problem will be solved, second, the 2.0T VEP4 engine is a bit old and hungry, not save as much fuel as other 2.0T engine like EA888gen3 or BMW B48.(I drive a lynk co03+ with same powertrain and can easily reach 12L per 100km, and it need octane #95(premium level fuel in China)
Compare to XC40 and lynk co 01, the room is bigger due to longer wheelbase, especailly for the second row.
And it look quite like a Volvo, curious why Geely dont make some exterior and interior facelift and sell it under the Volvo brand as something like XC50 lol....(also sell Preface/Xingrui as new S40 isnt a bad idea lol)

I didnt know what to believe about this car, everywhere in the media as cons is noise insulation and here in the video your opinion is exactly opposite, ,, i did drove this car and is really smooth, confy and not noisy , , finally placed my order on GF+ identical as the model in the video 😊

Ahh thanks man! I too live in China and I've been car shopping for a few weeks now. Really liking the Chinese cars. How about the computer system and voice commands? Can they both be put into English? Nearly all the cars I've checked can have he text and whatnot changed but the voice assist can't be. Thanks again! Great car!

Nice review, but generally there is a discrepancy with the test unit versus the actual for sale unit. This happens anywhere in the world which ever country you are in, the test unit they will install couple of stuff to improve the overall experience and when you actually bought the brand new unit, you'll find out that it is very different from what you have tested.
