Film Archive - Session 1

Our guest speakers were Helen Upcraft, Curator of the Imperial War Museum (IWM, London) and Ashley Swinnerton, Collection Specialist from the Department of Film of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA, New York).

Both presentations explore the history of one of the oldest Film Archive in the UK, but also of the MoMa film department concerning its acquisition, conservation, and dissemination strategies, respectively. This is an initiative by CIDEHUS - University of Évora - in partnership with the Master Erasmus Mundus Techniques, Patrimoine et Territoires de l'Industrie coordinated by the consortium of the University of Évora, University of Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne), and University of Padua, and four other universities.
