Imagine waiting an entire year for your favorite thing to post something new. In this video I review & Discuss The Spirit of Wonder. Spirit of wonder is a manga by Japanese artist Kenji Tsuruta. Often called the slowest artist of all time, his works are characterized by their detailed art & ornate backgrounds. Also there's science involved, real monster movie stuff. Things get big, or things get small, but there's always a theme of outer space & looking up at the stars. All the footage in the video was ripped from VHS tapes through VHS decode, so you might say I'm a bit of a scientist myself. I also talk about wandering emanon & the emanon manga.

You mentioned him being the slowest manga writer ever and I saw the art style in Emanon, so I immediately ran to my shelf to check the author’s name on my copies of Wandering Island and there he was. Here’s hoping he finishes that series someday; I love the concept.

An anime that was just an ad for the manga? Sometimes I wonder if that's what a *lot* of current & recent anime is. I look at shows like "Yona of the Dawn", where the series ends right where the storyline is just getting started, it seems like they're saying "hey, you liked it? Now go buy all the manga to see the rest of it!"
