Once you stay in a suite it will be hard to go back to a balcony. Stayed in a Owners Suite on Oasis a while back and were completely blown away by the Suite Lounge and the Costal Kitchen. The service is truly next level by those who work there! We have only stayed in suites on a couple cruises since... We now think it is better to do less cruises in order to afford the better room when we do sail.

Our family of 8 had the 4-bedroom Villa Suite on Harmony this past August and it was truly remarkable! Not sure we will ever be able to go it again but having all that space and our own hot tub on the balcony was fabulous.

Just booked a star class cruise for 2024. Definitely a splurge but this is a once in a lifetime cruise for us.

Back in 2018 for the presidential cruise we got a 4 villa suite. It was a family cruise, so there were 10 of us. The experience was mind blowing all of the amenities and concierge help that we got. I don’t think we would ever get it again because we did not explore as much as we normally did. Everything was brought to us in our cabin, both coastal kitchen, breakfast lunch and dinner. We had afternoon cocktails. having a star class suite was very fun, but because everything was provided to us. We didn’t have to leave the room at all. If I would give it a bad grade, it would be because you never have to leave the room.

Once I started including solo cruises with my yearly family cruise, I started booking a jr suite! Booking my first loft suite for my BDay and looking forward to the additional perks beyond dinner in the Coastal Kitchen!

We have never stayed in a suite. However, our 25th wedding anniversary is this next year and we just might book a cruise and stay in a suite to celebrate the special occasion! Thanks for explaining all the different suites and their benefits.

Every time I see a grand piano on a cruise ship, I think of that old cruise ship movie, The Legend of 1900. While in rough seas, the Grand piano rolling around the Ballroom while he played was hilarious.

I HAD been planning to splurge on a Accessible Junior suite on our upcoming 35th Anniversary Alaska cruise on Ovation this next June (my wife is in a wheelchair due to Cerebral Palsy and the fact we’re getting a bit old!) but discovered that the Accessible Balcony room is Almost the same size as the Junior Suite (about 390sq ft vs 410) but almost $4000 cheaper! It was a no-brainer, especially since the only real difference would’ve been the access to Coastal Kitchen and the in room coffee…neither of which was worth $4k! We saved enough that we were able to afford the EXACT SAME CABIN (#3168) on Ovation for ANOTHER bucket list cruise, an 18 night Repositioning TransPacific from Sydney to Honolulu (and stopping in New Zealand and Tahiti!)…all for the cost of a Junior Suite…(Now, this option only applies those able to access the Accessible rooms, but it was a nice quirk to discover!)

Suites are the way to go. If you can afford Star Class that's the best way. The rooms are amazing. The Royal Genie is priceless. Going in April and have the Royal Loft suite on Harmony of The Seas. If you pay the extra money you have to really enjoy the room and I do.

Stayed in a Crown Loft in October for my hubby’s 50th birthday. The Concierge in Coastal Kitchen made everything special for us. It will be hard to go back to a “regular” cabin. Priority elevators are the BEST! And Coastal Kitchen is worth the extra!

OMG . I can’t go back to Jr Suites ever . Just got off Symphony and was in an Owners Suite . And yes Priority Elevators are everything !

Matt, probably our last 30 cruises has been in a suite. We normally book Grand Suites but on several occasions have booked Loft Suites. We enjoy the extra room and really appreciate the Suites Concierge and Lounge. We are scheduled on the Od of Seas for the Greek Isles in June, 23 and will be in a two bedroom GS which we're really looking forward to.

Amazing video! Thank you! 2 weeks ago my family of 4 stayed in a Crown loft Suite on an Oasis class ship during our European Mediterranean Vacation and to say we were SPOILED is an utter UNDERSTATEMENT. For me the price tag was well worth it but now I can not FATHOM the thought of staying anything less then Sky class. Im RUINED! lol Looking at Quantum class for an Alaskan cruise next year and toying with the idea of a Grand loft suite! To anyone who has never tried and contemplating I'd say try it but be prepared you may never be able to go back to anything less.

5x sailings on RC. All of which have been suites. Personally, wouldn’t have it any other way. Priority embarkation and disembarkation and costal kitchen make it worth it for me
I arrive to the ship and it usually takes me less than 15-20 minutes until I have a drink in my hand! No long lines, no hassle.

I’d much rather take less frequent cruises, but travel in style and convenience when we do go. We are 100% suite stayers..never been on RC though it’s on our to do list. We like more traditional cruising ships like HAL and The Haven on NCL. Which RC ship would you recommend for a first trip in a suite? We usually go for the lowest suite that gets all the amenities…but our next trip in 4 weeks on HAL is in a Pinnacle Suite for our 32nd anniversary…and wifey doesn’t even know I got us that suite..can’t wait to see her expression when we walk in.

This was the video I needed to see. I have been cruising for awhile now. Didn't start till In was 40 (about 10 years now). I currently have a 11, 8, and 2 year old. We did a great Oasis of the Seas Perfect Day 7 Day Cruise last year from Cape Liberty and took the Jr. Suite. It was a great little upgrade for the most part. Plenty of space. Only thing I didn't like is that they treated us like plebeian's at Coastal kitchen and we couldn't get a dinner reservation there till the last night of the trip. I basically told them I am not getting off the trip without eating here lol. I am looking into the same trip this summer and thinking about splurging and getting a spacious Aqua theatre 1 bedroom suite. I am still on the fence. The coast is about double, but we shall see.
