I had a few of these in the garage. They work really well, except when the odd mouse decides he's going to chew his way through the plastic and escape :)

You deserve a Nobel Peace Prize, you make a way of ridding of mice without harming them. That's the definition of humane.

great idea. what if the mouse climbs on top of the trap, will it then tilt and shut itself?

Yes, I always recommend checking the traps at least once a day and releasing them a good distance from the home in which they were caught.

Thanks for watching! The way I see it, humane traps are a way of letting mice enjoy (as much as, or however they are able) the little lives they've been given in a place other than my house.

This is a clever one. One that doesn't kill it or hurt us, just keep it out of mischieve

'...so it won't suffocate'? so the idea is to release it somewhere else? i think you missed the main purpose for mouse traps

This mouse trap has been around for at least 20 years I think, possibly more.

Simple and well designed.

just one question, why is the outro longer than the video itself

dont really get why this got ao many dislikes, the mouse wasnt killed nor hurt, and didnt suffocate considering there are wholes on the top, to be honest, this is one of the best mouse traps i have seen, because you dont actually kill the mouse.

Yes, that is a concern, and it's one of the reasons I prefer the MiceCube over the Kness (see me video about that). One way to correct the problem with the Kness is to cut a square hole out of a cardboard box and place it over the rear-end of the trap, keeping the mouse from being able to climb on it.

This trap idea would be useful for hunting or so, it's cool

I used similar traps in my house (had small children, didn't want them to see "dead" mice) Caught the whole family, set them free a mile down the road.

Thank you! I don't sell them myself, but I do put a link in the description where you can buy them from someone else if you want to.

Good question. Most rodents are territorial (house mice rarely travel more than 30ft from their nests) but they are also among the most adaptable animals in the world - much more adaptable than larger game animals. There have been many recorded cases where a couple rats got on a ship in northern Europe, got dumped off on Island in the tropics and went on to thrive. So while I'm sure relocating mice a mile or two away does make their lives more difficult, I doubt it kills them 90% of the time.

Yes! Catching it without fatalities! Awesome!

That's genius. Some mice can evade other traps but this should work.
