Nexbox A95X Firmware-- A Fix For The Firmware Update Problem

Nexbox A95X came out with a firmware update in Sept 2016. It can be very challenging to get the firmware to update. Watch my video and I will show you how to get the latest firmware to update. PLEASE NOTE: How I got mine to update was that I used an Ethernet connection from the Android box to my modem. I did not update this from my Wi-Fi.

If you go to: About in your setting and if it says you don't need to update at this time, that means your system is up-to-date and you don't need to watch this video!

Thanks, I also had to remove my Bluetooth USB dongle to get it to work. I noticed you didn't have a mouse pointer on your screen so after I clicked update now I removed the dongle and it worked.

thanks I can't believe I never thought to just look for an update in the system itself rofl, I've been having problems with google play store keeping the apps downloading as pending and was stopping me from watching kodi etc.

updating now and will let you know if it fix it :).

Ok! it's 5/1/2017 and I finally got my a95x nexbox up graded to KODI 17 for about 15 minutes! Yep 15 minutes!

I believe this a95x has an OS locked to ver 16 and it might be possible to change it to 17 but the minute one has to refresh the nexbox it will go back to
WITH THAT said, I did get my a95x to load 17 and it locked up. I had to go back to the original settings which is KODI 16. WHICH btw works great --- ! as long as you direct connect it to the web. SURE it works good but you might get alittle hesitation when HD mode. Also as long as you have at least 2gb x 16gb system.
SO! I believe the easiest thing to do.... IS buy another OR LATEST version of KODI 17. Krypton---- with at least 2gb x 16gb maybe even 3gbx 32gb.
WHY do I say this: 1. it is very difficult to make a firmware system in android upgrade-able at least in 5/1.2017....
It might be coming but not yet. TV BOXES are OLD guys, (60 & older) a way to watch OLD TV & Movie show at anytime. WHY because the latest movies are junk hacked, maybe in a years or two, they get better, but not HD-- might 720 but never in 480 YUK!

This is my assessment.... of TV Boxes. I also heard that some VENDORS are making ad related KODI boxes and giving them OH well I guess thats a way of advertising...hahhahha

Hi, I have a Android 9.0 TV BOX A95X F2 Set Top Box, but since day one, I
am having a problem with TV box mouse pointer, is shown in large size
on the screen. I try to minimize the size of the mouse pointer, going
through settings and the accessibility option, but it doesn't work, so I
try resetting the whole system...still looks large...also, when I
receive a notification from the notifications bar, I click on it but it
doesn't respond/open...I contacted the seller, but all they did was send
me the same firmware that I already have in the system, suggesting me
to try to re-install it in the system again....any help, please.

I have the problem that the box freezes at the beginning or when I use an app. I did all of the video, but a warning appears that the system is updated, I already made hardreset but the problem continues. Can I manually update the firmware and where can I download it? Thanks and I hope you can help me.

I have a few questions!
1. it's 4/18/2017! 2. my a95x box has 2gb x 16gb is this firmware OK for this box? 3. I have tried to update and have 2 or 3 waits I chickened out! (i'm old & retired) but I will give it a try!
The other thing is 17.1 NEEDS to have android 5 or higher.... will this work with 17.1 ????

And lastly! KODI was invented for OLD retired guys who want to WATCH OLD, very old, Extremely old Movies from when they there thought u should know!

How to remove Kodi completely? I don't need him. After removing the Kodi app, the icon remains in the launcher, TVMC. How do I set the icon path to another application?

Hello..I get to the update sequence with usb stick as without a USB it states not enough memory on the box? (I have tried to back up Kodi on 2 USB sticks but error message shows as "the files may not be written" and they aren't ...then the Android man comes on and it is shown on "Reboot" twice I have rebooted and it has not updated, any ideas?

how do i install 17.3 on this box i try and it tells me there is kodi on it already but the only thing i find is tvmc 16.1 and i cant uninstall it.

Thanks for the awesome tip. I will try tonight. I, like most people chose "Close" instead of "Wait". Sorry for digressing but how do you get the bottom row of custom icons in your Nexbox main menu? I have this in my other boxes but not Nexbox. ( 32 sec mark of your video )

I did not do that. If you go into the A95X settings and click About and then click on Update, it will start updating it for you.
