Hey Donny I've been watching your videos for a while and I've used some of the things I've learned watching and it's helped me so much. I made my high school varsity team and a club team using your tips. Keep up the great videos!

Because of my interests in volleyball, I had recently saw your channel in the recommendations. I'll say it's a step by step channel which helps many people improve their mobility in volleyball. So far, I am considering to join volleyball this year as a Senior, but however, my friends say that if I do, I'll have to play for Varsity mainly because the Varsity team usually makes up with Seniors and some Juniors. I am hoping to do well this year and maintain a good season. I will be relying on this channel to help me work my way through in volleyball. I still need to work on my spikes and jumps, I am more focused on jumps and spikes. My spiking accuracy is pretty bad, but I'll get a hang of it.

What I do is in the air, I use my left pointy finger to point where I want the ball pass. 😊

Hi Danny, I have a video suggestion. I am coach of a german low league ladies team and now we advanced to a higher league, so I want to improve our offense gameplay. I would like to know, how certain plays/moves can be internalized. for example: how do setter and leftback player know, where to attack from the back? either between middle and leftfront attacker or further outside of the leftfront player. I hope you know what I mean. Or how attackers know whether they are supposed to fake the attack and just jump and swing their arm to fake the block. I'd just like to introduce some nice standard plays to our playbook.

Thanks so much for all your other videos yet! Great Job.

To emphasize: Staying behind the ball when you spike so you can see both the ball and the block is the first and most critical step. A ton of players come under the ball to much and loose the ability to see the block properly.
Also: Point 1 and 2 become moot very fast if you play some decent level. Your opposing blocker won't leave you, the outside hitter. Middle blocking support is done by the opposing outside hitter on their nr 4 position and not the opposing setter or diagonal on their nr 2 position.
When confronted by a full block your choice should depend on how tight the set is to the net:
Far off: Diagonal indeed. But sharp set: Sweep right to left to go out of bounds via the blockers right hand. This is a deadly effective option against strong blockers when you master it.

Actually I'm seeing the block better on a high ball. When we play a fast set I don't have the time to look where the block is and I'm going on maximum risk. But the video is really helpful in terms which are the best moments to look at the block and to take a decision about the attack.

This is another great video but i was wondering, do the things that you said in these video apply to a middle hitter

Great video once again Donny! I was thinking of trying something to further see the block better, but I'm not sure how viable it is. Good set, good approach, as you jump and as the ball is dropping to you, you do a quick eye check of the block (similar to how setters do a quick eye check of the block before they set) and then the eyes go back to the ball before swinging. Once again, I don't know how doable this is but would love to get your opinion on it haha

Hi coach Donny you should do cyber coaching. Its basically helping people find their mistakes and fix them.People submit videos with something they want to improve on and you review their mistakes.I got that idea from the skate channels which have this kind of videos:D
