Car fires are nothing new, but with more electric vehicles on the roads, fires involving those cars are proving to be more challenging for firefighters to put out. FOX 10's Marc Martinez has more on a new technology that could help snuff out the fire.

Problem is the electric car Lithium-ion traction battery fire developed its own oxygen so the blanket is just keeping the fire enclosed but it’s still burning and it can explode.
