Problem is the electric car Lithium-ion traction battery fire developed its own oxygen so the blanket is just keeping the fire enclosed but it’s still burning and it can explode.

Why are they using water to extinguish a Haz Mat fire like an EV car fire? What is Scottsdale FD going to do with the toxic runoff and fire gasses that contaminate ground water and pollute the air we breathe? Haven't they ever heard of the U.S. Clean Air and Water Act?
