Honestly, this sounds like a fascinating motivation for an animated movie villain. One which kindness and selflessness is eventually corrupted into being better at being kind to eventually outdoing the kindness of others, until they become the cruelty they are against. Kindness can spiral into obsession and eventually jealousy to undoing the kindness you see as lesser than you’re own until it becomes twisted.
