Grantaire's solo is the most important and meaningful part of this entire show and I will never forgive the 2012 movie for cutting it

Hearing Michael Ball as Marius just after having had to endure Nick Jonas as Marius, is like getting a soothing balm to heal a bad burn.

The enjoltaire dynamic here feels so much like Enjolras is a teacher that caught Grantaire doing something bad, and so Grantaire is just standing there knowing he's in trouble but not looking his teacher in the eye but like not willing to admit he did anything wrong either xD

A song for all friends in nations at war and war zones today -- especially the unwilling beaten, broken, and dead young men of Gaza & Israel, Ukraine & Russia, Sudan & Myanmar ... and each and every one of their friends who still live today.
