how is nobody ever talks about Christian Bale's performance as Howl. it might not be his top 10, but its easily one of the best celebrity voice performances ever, because he is actually doing a different voice modulation here. People in twitter discourse about how celebrity voice actors just won't put enough effort, but nobody ever mentions this performance. Howl's Moving Castle has one of the best dubs

I originally bought tickets to the subbed version on Saturday but missed my movie time bc I thought it was at 7pm, not 3pm. The theater managed to switch my ticket to the Sunday viewing at 7pm, but it was the dubbed version. I didn’t really mind because I was just happy there was another viewing. I’ve never seen howls moving castle before. And I’m not a fan of dubbed anime. But the English voice acting for this film was phenomenal, and I was NOT prepared for the immense amount of praising Howl was giving Sophie so early on in the movie….just…wow 😌

Saw this movie recently and while It isn't my absolute favourite in terms of story, it is undeniably one of the more charming movies I've ever seen. Especially the scene at the beginning where they're walking on the air with the ballad playing in the background. Pure magic.

I usually watch anime films in the original Japanese dub, but I have to say the English cast did a fantastic job. Christian Bale, Emily Mortimer, Billy Crystal and especially Lauren Bacall were such great picks. Fit like gloves on a hand.

The GHIBLI movies make you so magical and that there is so many possibilities ✨️ and like there is infinite dimensions of live and its waiting to go seek them and love them overall I think chivalry Studios did amazing job capturing what innocence even with a little bit more mature themes that we think it goes over our kids as heads even with that in mind it doesn't fail to capture The Human Side of Things
