The 2024 Nissan Z returns in NISMO form. Which means upgrades. Its 3.0 V6 turbocharged engine now produces 420 horsepower and the suspension gets a whole host of mechanical changes. Which is good, because it’s… heavier. And automatic only. And more expensive. But how does it drive? And does the performance match its name? Thomas and James are excited to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. SUBSCRIBE!

i’ve seen more cybertrucks than z’s and the cybertruck looks like an unrendered rock in a video game

Charging 60k+ for a 20 year old platform is wild.

Maybe I'm just stuck in pre- stupid inflation times .. but the price of this car should start with a 4 at most

The Nissan Z - the car I completely forget even exists.

I had planned to buy a 2024 Z. I have purchased 3 different Nissan Models in the past, so I would call myself loyal….until now. The Z prices are too high, the financing to buy is also high but to lease is stupidly high. My credit is 800+ and Nissan tried to get me to lease at MSRP with an equivalent Money Factor at 12% APR. So I went Mustang GT 5.0 Premium with Recaros, Brembos, & Performance Package. I guess Nissan doesn’t want to sell cars or retain loyal customers. I watched this review, seeing if I had made a mistake going with the Mustang over the Z. I got my answer, which is I made the right decision by going Mustang.

It’s like Nissan has been plodding around tuner car forums like some teenager with no sense of how car valuations work. They slap a few spicy stickers on it, bump the power a little… and then think it’s suddenly worth an extra $15, 000.

What Nissan should do: A $30k FR, with 250hp called Silvia.

A $40k Z with as much NA hp as they can squeeze out of that V6.

A $50k stripped out, track focused NA version called Nismo.

And a $60k, 500 plus HP twin turbo.

All of them with a manual option.

What they actually do….

This should just be the base model, this doesn’t deserve Nismo

man, that means they're basically in the same ballpark as a used GT-R

I have seen exactly one Z so far. My first reaction was "about time" and my second reaction was "wow it already looks old."

Funny thing is, I’m a sales person at a Nissan dealer. Any random person commenting/complimenting the car who then asks the price, when they find out they’re always like “wow that’s a great price” yet they sit in show rooms collecting dust😂

That’s ridiculously expensive wow. Some god cop bad cop in this one. James really trying to be invited to the next Nissan reveal and Thomas calling a spade a spade. Love it.
