For the past 20 years, I've been putting my concealer, eyeliner, lipliner, AND my mascara in my bra as I do my skincare. By the time I'm ready to use them, they're warmed up and much easier to apply/blend. It gets a bit crowded in there, but it absolutely makes a difference! 😄

Typically, I find foundation at a higher price point just looks so much better on my 50+ oily skin. The trick to making it economical and very natural is to apply it in sections, with a POWDER brush, buff it in. Im telling you, a quarter pump of heavy foundation on the back of my hand is all Ineed, lasts longer, and the effect is beautiful and natural

Oh I’ve been cutting open my tubes of makeup for years to use it all up! I love that tip!

So a tip for making a liquid lipstick that you love that may be more bold or an “evening” into a more “daytime/work appropriate” is to take a bit on your finger and dab it on going from the center of your lips outward. You can then take what’s left or a little more around the edges of your lips. Let it set, then take a neutral Lipliner that’s compatible with the color and line just INSIDE your lip line. Let that set, and top it off with a gloss, balm, or sleeping mask of your choice (or you can leave it like this!). Viola! A daytime lip! You’ll still get the initial color but it won’t be so stark.

Your hair looks especially beautiful today! On your makeup hack tip about cutting the bottom off of a tube, then I put the tube in a ziploc bag, and it keeps it from drying out! Like you said, lots of product left! Happy weekend!😎

Any time I cut the end off a squeeze tube to get what's left of the product inside, I use a binder clip to close the end and then stand the tube on its cap until it's gone. Or, if the cap isn't flat, you can hang it by the binder clip on a pushpin or small nail on the wall near your vanity area. I have a short length of decorative chain hanging between two nails on the wall over my vanity table where I hang my earrings for the day when I take them off at night; it's a good place to hang the almost empty tube of makeup or whatever, and for some reason, the cat doesn't bother things hanging from this chain so I don't have to look for things on the floor in the morning. I use tape to remove glitter on my eyelids before removing the eyeshadow color to prevent the glitter particles from getting in my eyes.

I put the putty primer right under my eyes before I put concealer on. It keeps my concealer in place plus it smooths out lines below the eyes.

When I was in high school, I used a lighter to warm the eyeliner before applying it. Worked like magic every time.

Some things we did back in the day as makeup hacks are:
1.) Mix face cream or sunscreen with your fav foundation to make it not as thick and heavy.
2.) Use a lighter to make eyeliners creamy and easy to apply. Put the tip of the eyeliner in the flame for a second to make it creamy, wait a second for it to cool a bit then apply.
3.) Also use a lip balm under your eyes if your concealer is going into fine lines or is feeling dry and crepey. Take some of the lip balm on your finger and pat under eyes. It will smooth out the concealer plus add a wee bit of moisture if iit's dry under your eyes.

I’ve read that when e.g. a foundation that comes in a tube has about 20% - 25% left in it, even though you can’t squeeze anything out. 💕

So one thing I do when tweezing my eyebrows is I fill them in with black (I have lighter hair). And then it creates an obvious area to prevent overtweezing. Also, setting powder isn't just for makeup. Especially in the summer I don't want to wear foundation because it's spicy out there. But I do still wear sunblock and them put my setting powder over that which prevents it from getting into my eyes when I sweat
