When I started into the hubby, I heard horror stories about poisoned people after fragging zoanthids. Now I'm watching that several reefers handle them with any precaution. I don't get it.

Plugs are great for aquaculture, but not so great for home aquarium aquascaping. You can always break the plug apart and reglue it to a piece of rock you like. The coral will eventually cover both.

I cited your video for a new Captive Propagation section on Wikipedia's Zoantharia article.

I don't remember exactly where I bought them from, but I ordered them from some plastics retailer online. I got an entire box from them, and in that quantity, they cost the same as the white egg crate.

1:40 - what type of zoa is that? I have the same type and never could find out what type of zoa they are.

Hi. Thanks for the videos. Pretty awesome. Where can I get black egg crate? I can only find the white one in local hardware stores.

Can I keep Zoa and Paly together or will they sting each other thank you in advance for your response

if you cut them underwater, there's no chance of the palytoxin getting somewhere unpredictable.

If polips are growing over a rock which you cannot revome to frag, can I cut the polips inside the display? Or the toxin could kill my fishes?

Hi Than. Hey I have a nice Zoa "garden" going in my 300gal. DD reef. The problem is one of the zoas is overtaking the others. The colony is on a larger rock that I cannot remove. Is it possible to frag this colony while it is in the display tank and do it one polyp at a time? They are large polyps and I think I could cut them fairly easily but not sure if the cut polyps will survive or if the toxin will contaminate my tank? Thanks for any help. - Kevin

Once you manipulate the Zoas frags, how long does it take to them to open its polyps?

Can these pollute your water? I just fragged a bunch of paly and the next day my candy cane frags RTN
