Besides the snags, great vid! I think everybody should know these basic survival knots. Great for camping out and God forbid anything worse. Thanks for your input and efforts. Well done!

this is a real simple way of doing this knot, I keep typing my tarpaulin with a slipknot, and I use a toggle to stop the cord from slipping, nut it gives a loose ridgeline. I'll give this method a go next when I'm on camp, thanks for the upload

Good Vid, Thank you, I've been trying to get that Truckers Hitch figured out and didn't realize that I wasn't making the "Pully loop" right. So thank you for that.  Such a simple knot and it was just getting the better of me.

Thank you Jack! Really appreciate the video, this will certainly solve my "keep it tight" woes on my hikes.

Thanks this is very helpful for setting up a tarp. I didn't have two close trees handy so I practiced on my tables legs.

I use this knot or group of knots to tie loads down all the time. Ive also made tents and stuff but it works great for tying loads down super tight

The perfect knot for moving large pieces of furniture or boxes on the back of a truck. The rope will break before the knot comes loose.

I'm learning knots.  So is this as strong as the taught-line hitch?  I know the taught-line is pretty darned strong...I tied off a large tarp to my deck and a hard wind pulled the stakes out of my yard and the knots didn't budge.  What's the advantage of one over the other?

And thanks for the video.  It was very easy to comprehend.

That's one hell of a dramatic intro.

Whoever designed that knot must of been a Navy man, because my dad called it a mariners knot. The guy must of been name Trucker?..

A bit disorientating with the camera, looks like it's zoomed in. Other than that, good vid!
