A Mother's Watchful WingsOne fine morning, I spotted a little birdling sitting on an anthurium plant. The young bird was learning to fly, eager yet weary and scared of the vast world beyond the nest. He fluttered his tiny wings, trying to soar higher. His mother, a wise and loving bird, watched over him with keen eyes, gently guiding him.While venturing a bit too far, he suddenly encountered a group of strangers—us, the humans. He became very nervous, and his wings trembled. Sensing his fear, his mother swooped down, positioning herself protectively between him and the strangers. A few harsh chirps, accompanied by a stern look, were enough to warn us not to approach her. She then tried to distract us by swooping down to the floor and letting out a loud chirp.The mother bird watched closely as her little one developed his flying abilities, never straying far as he explored the premises. Her presence provided him with an unspoken assurance that no matter how large or intimidating the world appeared, there would always be a warm heart to bring him back home safely.
