Just an idea of how the short lived but awesome cartoon Megas XLR would look if it truly were in widescreen 16:9 ratio. Remember it's not true HD but at least you get the idea.

A giant robotcar controlled by joystick, with a fat gamer, a skinny weed smoker and a hot chick from the future. Yeah kids, that was my childhood cartoons...

I asked Steve Blum to say, "chicks dig giant robots." He practically shouted it at me in excitement. I think he's proud of his role as Jamie.

This and Samurai Jack were my bread and butter. My friend and I used to religiously watch both shows.

I'm genuinely surprised that this show had such a short lifespan, considering how good it was and how strong its fanbase felt about it.

It's a shame Megas XLR was too far ahead of it's time. It would be right at home with today's cartoon network programming.

Sadly, we'll never get a reboot. It was too expensive to make. It was like a super massive star... burning out way too quickly and dissipating before most people could lay an eye on it... but for those who witnessed it, we won't ever really forget how awesome this show was.

This, Samurai Jack, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Ed, Edd n Eddy ruled cartoon network with an Iron Fist but were dethroned by absolute rubbish thereafter.

The fact this didn't get more seasons is one of the greatest crimes mankind has ever If the makers are still around I wonder if they'd consider Kickstarting a new season? As in making it a project on Kickstarter

If any show deserved a revival, it's this one. Megas XLR had amazing animation, amazing storytelling, fun well written characters, and on top of that was really cool.

It makes me sad that not enough people talk about this show. It was one of my favorites growing up

No matter where you go, in the vastness of space, one inexorable truth of the universe will always be certain.
Chicks dig giant robots.

I started watching cartoon network in late 1990s. Courage, Samurai Jack, Ed Edd and Eddy, Powerpuff girls, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo were absolutely amazing cartoons. However Megas XLR was probably the last new cartoon I watched before growing up and losing interest in cartoons. It is definitely up there with the classics. I also had a major crush on Kiva.
