Thai army: 'We are neutral' - BBC News

The Thai army has told the BBC it remains neutral following Thursday's coup and that it only intends to hold political leaders for one week. Colonel Werachon Sukhondhadhpatipak told BBC World TV's Lucy Hockings why the army had detained so many political officials.

People must understand that she is just reading off a script, it's not like she is coming up with her own ideas, the interview is framed in a way that certain people want to frame the situation...The situation is quite more complex with multiple factions battling for supremacy behind the scenes.

This coup is the best solution for now. Now 24 dead and many are injured including 2 kids dead by explosive thrown to anit-government protest. In 2008 red shirt protest burned many buildings and hijacked a big gas truck to block a road to show their protesting crazyness. Now as the government doesn't have any power but they seems just to hang on the the seat, people in Thailand are afraid that there will be a clash between  people from 2 sides, anit-gov and gov- support, which will be more intense than the past which of course will lead to mare damage to the country.
