ANTIQUE HORSE TRICYCLE - MAKING WAGON WHEELS (PART 1/3) RESTORATION ,WOODWORKING

IN THIS 3 PART SERIES I MAKE NEW WHEELS FOR AN ANTIQUE HORSE TRICYCLE .

HORSE TRICYCLES, WHICH GENERICALLY FALL UNDER THE CATEGORY OF "VELOCIPEDES ", WERE MADE IN THE LATE 19TH CENTURY FIRST APPEARING AROUND THE 1860'S . THESE LIKELY WOULD HAVE BEEN EXPENSIVE AND OWNED BY WEALTHIER FAMILIES . THEY EVOLVED INTO THE MODERN TRICYCLE .

THIS IS PART 1 - IN THE INTRODUCTION I GIVE A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE HORSE TRICYCLES . THEN I START MAKING THE NEW WHEELS, SHOWING THE LAYOUT AND THE JIGS INVOLVED .

Not watched this right through yet but am loving the look of this tricycle...don't recall ever seeing one quite like this before...but that could be because I'm right pond - only found your channel yesterday and am thoroughly enjoying it
