I don't know the market in the US, are there whole grains you can buy at the supermarket to make your own oat meal type of breakfast? Is it sensible to just advise ppl to avoid giving that poison to their children from the start?

One more reason to try to get money out of electing our representatives. Citizen's United made the problem even worse.

We never ate sweet cereals growing up. My mom just didn't buy it. Even as a kid in the 70s and 80s I was actually bewildered that some kids were eating this every day for breakfast. Just seemed wrong.

Parents need to be a tad bit more educated and not feed their offspring crap . Too many Parents just don't put much thought into it, and why wouldthey when 5hey themselves eat badly.
