FIFA 15 Career Mode Youth Academy Players Solved

This is a tutorial full of helpful tips on everything to do with the FIFA 15 Career Mode Youth Academy. I talk about the scouts and where to send them in what regions to scout players for your club.

I also talk about how to find strikers easily in the scout reports so that you can promote them to your youth academy and develop them to become complete forwards.

You'll learn about how to get your head scouts experience and judgement up to five stars for all three of them and how to find 94 rated potential young players.

At the end i go through the squad report to show you right at the end of the young players careers what stats and rating i got them up to.

There are loads of complete midfielders and complete defenders, with many of the players getting above 90 rated. These tips work well for the Xbox One, PS4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

If you want players with good pace and physical stats, you should just promote them pre-may. Yes, they will have a lower rating, but they will grow to the same potential eventually, but this time they'll also grow in their pace and physical stats.

HERE'S THE BEST ADVICE ON YOUTH ACADEMY PLAYERS:

[UPDATED: 7/31/15]

This works best for teams with enough money for 3 5*5* scouts and enough money to sign ~20 youth players a season.

Stagger your scouting visits 1 day apart and at least weak after the 1st of the month. I use the 8th, 9th, and 10th because the 8th is always directly under the 1st of the month on the calendar.


When a new report comes in write down the name of any player EXCEPT CAMs with a max potential over approximately 85. CAM is the easiest position in the game to be rated highly, so therefor it literally always produces the "weakest" highly rated players. CAM needs the least overall # of total attribute points to for a high rating, CM needs the most. Therefor, good CMs as the best players in the game. An attacking academy CM with the same rating as an attacking academy LW/RW, for example, will always be an overall better player.


Anyway, go to player search, find those players, and add them to My Shortlist. Then go into My Shortlist and check their work rates and weak foot and skill moves. Sign ANY player with 4* weak foot and high or medium attacking/defending work rate (depending upon whether they play attack or defense). And that's it, don't sign high potential players with 1* weak foot or low work rates for their position.


Promote LITERALLY signed players IMMEDIATELY, regardless of type or position, except for GKs. Don't wait for the May update. GKs seem to be broken and not progress beyond around 78 OVR for me, but I'm looking for a work around on this.



Cut any player that hasn't grown physically after 2-3 months on the team.

Once your players that are developing physically have gotten to a 60+ OVR, loan them out each window and save before recalling them to make sure their potential is "Has Potential To Be Special" or at least "Exciting Prospect".


Let them develop on your team until they are 19 years old or 20 years old, tops. If they're 20 years old and still in the low 70's or 60's in the winter transfer window because of how low their OVR started, swap them for a terrible a computer player on a low level team that will be able to afford their wages -- I put all my players on Bohemian FC (Airtricity League) -- and add them to My Shortlist. The reason you need to swap the players instead of selling them is players' potentials don't change when you swap them, they do when you sell them.


*Also, as best I can tell, the players you've swapped will grow the most in position specific technical categories. So, if you have an attacking midfielder, usually their passing, vision, etc. will actually grow more than their finishing, even if finishing is higher. Etc.



Near the end of the winter transfer window turn all your money into wages and sign a free agent GK for as much as you can per week. This is done to save whatever money you would've had at the end of the year so the CPU doesn't reset your transfer budget and make the money you had left over from the previous season disappear. And you will need every dime when you're trying to buy back 3 or 4 79 OVR 20 year old players with "Has Potential To Be Special" potential statuses.



Computer players actually progress in rating on May 1st from what I can tell and if you've sold a player (not swapped) or scouted a player who has a high potential and has achieved a rating over 80 OVR, their updated stats will be visible at the end of the season in the Successful Transfers section of Transfer Negotiations, and in My Shortlist. If you swapped the player and added them to My Shortlist, you'll see their stats if their over 80 OVR, and if not you will need to scout them to see their new progressed stats.



The next year, immediately swap the GK for a nobody you can immediately cut, then sign back your swapped youth academy player from Bohemian FC or wherever you put them. The player will have grown like a computer player and will be somewhere in the range of 76-82 OVR with high physical stats. The earlier you can do this, the better. Once back on your team, loan them out to return them from the loan and get their potential back to "Has Potential To Be Special". Then play with them and all their stats will continue to grow as they should to begin with, and they will be highly rated even though they never went through a May update. Soon they progress FAR past the May update players even if their OVR is the same because they're attributes in physical stats are far superior to the post-may players. And actually playing the games with them leaves no comparison between the quality of the pre-may and post-may players once their OVRs are similar.


It's crucial you buy them back immediately because they may have turned 21 by now or will be soon and you'll need 4 months to see their potential again, then another window or 2 to get their potential back to "Has Potential To Be Special" before their potential stops showing for good when they turn 22 years old.


ALSO:

- The youth scouts change once a week. Sunday I believe.
- The player position is always the middle position of the 3 positions. Always. (with 5*5* scouts)
- The best "region" is Argentina & Brazil by far, then Spain, then Portugal, Italy, Central Europe, etc.
- You can get strikers with Winger, Physically Strong, and Technically Gifted
- Strikers DO NOT come in the pattern you mentioned, they come when the striker is the elbow between CM, ST, LW/RW pattern
- Any position pattern that contains a CF/CAM will ALWAYS result in a player that is a CF/CAM
- Physically Strong players are the most likely players to grow physically after the May update

I have a youth player called Che Adams who has 97 sprint speed and 98 acceleration. he is naturally a CAM but on his details it shows he can also play as a ST. And he has "potential to be special". God bless

From what I've seen when I play, it's best to leave the defensive minded players in the academy till they've had the may update. Everyone else I usually promote due to them needing to grow in the physical stats area. Btw the RB you had is the "Bale" type, he is great at the back and you can convert them to a winger.

I have a 90 rated regen right back from England called Ryan Toffolo. He is only 23 (90 rated at 23!!!!) and has INSANE stats, amazing crossing, pace, stamina, tackling.... he is so good. Its only 2020 and I'm pretty sure he could grow to like 96 overall. I bought him in the fourth season from everton and he was 84 rated at like 20 years old or something, for about 20mil. I recommend just have fun i mean theres no point bothering to do all of this glitching and shit it just fucks up everything... like look at all these players they have no physical stats... buy them from other teams or just grow them yourself and don't worry about glutting they will turn out good some of them, so don't worry.
