In the last lesson, we looked at the design of a ripple carry adder. Now, we'd like to modify that circuit to allow it to perform subtraction as well as addition. In this lesson, we'll look at a simple modification that can be made to the ripple-carry adder to perform subtraction by setting the value of the carry-in signal.
